I've seen crude and vile movies before. Hell. I've seen some German porn, which really was better done than this insulting turd of a movie. It's one thing to setup people who put themselves out there as bastions of moral or political dogma and are total hypocrites, but ordinary people? The worse part though was that it just wasn't funny. Okay there are a couple of gags that generated a giggle, and one or two situations where you think Borat is going to get his head or balls punched in, but these can't make up for the overall and lasting effect of very bad taste in my mouth. Truly one of the ultimate "goofs" is actually going to the theater and watching your fellow audience members laugh at these jokes. It's a strange parallel universe where the audience becomes as offensive as the movie itself. Was this a finger to the audience by Borat? A "you racist pricks, you think this funny, so you're a sick intolerant asshole."? Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Still, if you're on the fence about letting someone in your life you suspect of being an asshole, maybe taking them to this flick and watching their reaction will tell you much, especially when the lights come up and everyone has to look one another in the eye again, and they have to explain what they laughed at, and why. Hmmm? The nude, balls in the mouth, wrestling scene alone is enough to pan this one. Enter at your risk, unless you're a social scientist.
