With the bar set so high for British comedies, this little film tries to wring the laughes from old slapstick material and predictable circumstances. There just was nothing new. Maybe if they made it ten years ago--maybe. A disappointing return for the director of Four Weddings. Decent cast, but hardly worth a rental and should it be laid to rest under other much funnier movies.
