Doesn't have alot to do with the old USSR, and is really a crime drama that's decent enough, but with a major hole that will keep it from ranking higher. The writer blew off giving us the underlying motivation for the main character doing all he does--at least it's blurry enough for confusion. Plus when no one thinks to protect a potential victim--it just rang pretty hollow. But big points on style, it's a very well shot film and worth a look if you're bored--or if you want see Aragon's penis. Your choice.
