The year's must see film. A triumph for Clooney and crew. Poignant and demanding our attention given the political climate of our day. But it's a biting indictment of today's press more than the corruption and evil that was McCarthy and his hearings on Communism in the 50's. Part of the reason he was brought down was because of the press, which back in the day protected the interest of the people, instead of the State. More so for that generation who fought Hitler, they were all too aware of the dangers of Fascism. And the film itself? Shot in black and white, the script was so tight a comma couldn't be squeezed in it, and with acting that will be a shoe-in for little-gold men all around it's easily as an important a film as Shinder's List and F911. A solemn reminder for us all: Vigilance. Always Vigilance. Highly recommended.
