The High-elf returns, but trades a bow and arrows for a sword, orcs and trolls for Muslims and fundamentalist Christians, and Gondor for Jerusalem. .... Mr. Bloom should shy away from medieval flicks for awhile-- eh? please! ... Putting the whole hobbit thing aside, this is actually a damn good movie. Very interesting on the history side of the coin, and it's well acted on all fronts. Still need to see for myself how far they strayed from the actual history, but hats off for putting the subject on the screen and doing it well. Recommended, despite the elf distraction.
