Or serial character bloodbath. Mutants fall by the bushel in this the weakest of the set. Lackluster FX robs the momentum built off of X2, and the story disappoints similarly. There was lots of potential, but the delivery wasn't there. Some bells and whistles--any movie that destroys the Golden Gate Bridge is all right by me-- couldn't save it, and the writing? Well killing off a third of your cast isn't always choice "A" in the 'how best to wrap things up department'. I guess it will cut down on payroll if they decide to make another, but just smacked as cheap. A movie for diehards only. Pretty bad for everyone else.
